Occupation: Salesman Marital Status: Committed Relationship No. of Children: 1 What was your favorite club or activity in high school?: The end of day bell What type of car did you drive in the 70's?: 1968 Chevelle SS396 Who was your favorite teacher at Enka High?: Coach Moore and Mrs. Anderson Tell us what you have been doing for the last 30 Years: After graduation, I went to school at A-B Tech in the machine shop program. I remember being told to get a good trade job in a factory, and I would be set for life. That advice didn't pan out real well. I went to work in the machine shop at Westinghouse for 7.5 years, and grew to hate it. I left and opened my own business detailing and restoring cars for 6 years. My knees got tired, and the economy got bad, and I got lucky and sold the business. I got into sales at MR Honda for a little while. I moved to Asheville Outdoor Power as parts manager and salesman. I tried machining again for a year, but plant life was still the same. I took a sales job at Silverman Co. in Asheville where my dad worked. I've been there 14 years selling storm drainege and site work supplies. I got married when I was 20, and stayed that way for 26 years. After many rocky years, I finally decided that life is too short to be miserable. From that marriage, I have a wonderful son, Adam, who is soon to be 21 and a senior at UNC Chapel Hill - Go Heels. I spent 22 years drag racing. I had many top 5 finishes in points and won a championship in 2001. I retired in 2007. I now enjoy riding Harleys with my fiancee Teresa. She has shown me what a relationship is supposed to be like. In July of 2007, I bought the house I grew up in during grade school. I needed a house and it came up for sale. What's the chances? I share this home with Teresa and a french bulldog named Fatboy Petey. I am healthy, happy, and blessed with love. Life is good. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Please share one of your best (or most humorous) memories of high school: Switching Sudden Sam McCracken's room completely around and gettin sent to the "green tile". He was harmless. Coach Sevier was another story.
